YOUNGSTOWN, OH ? The Turning Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, in collaboration with Turning Technologies today announced the Fall 2012 Community College Classroom Improvement Technology Grant. The goal of this effort is to help instructors develop 21st century classrooms and improve student outcomes by providing effective, engaging technology from an industry-leading company.
Turning Foundation Director, John Wilson stated, ?This is our first grant effort directed specifically at supporting student success in community colleges. We are excited to offer a classroom technology for instructors to engage students in the learning process and positively impact learning outcomes. There are tremendous pressures related to improving student success in community colleges, and providing classroom response technology through this grant is one way to support improved outcomes.?
Grant applications will be accepted from instructors in any community college setting in the United States. Five (5) classroom awards with an estimated value of $2,500 each will be distributed nationally.

IMPLEMENTATION SUPPORT
A complimentary three part webinar training series will be made available to all grant winners. In addition, recipients will be invited to attend an informative best practice pedagogical webinar hosted by a Turning Technologies? Distinguished Educator. Webinars will introduce unique uses to help enhance the user experience with response technology.
